Happy 3rd month of 2020!! This year feels like it’s moving stupid fast. I’m trying to stay in the present and not fret about what I can’t control. I’m working really hard to stay committed to what I have said I want to work on.
Let’s review how February went and then look at what’s going on for March.
February Results
HOME
-Put up the mirror frame-I didn’t get the frame up because the mirror broke. However, I did what I said I would do in terms of trying to get it done-namely asking for help. Things took a turn which led to another turn. Since the mirror broke, I’ve decided to plank/shiplap the mirror wall and put up double mirrors-one over each sink. I do plan to frame those mirrors and will use the broken mirror if I can. I purchased a tool to cut (actually score) the mirror once I decide what size I want it to be. Prior to doing the shiplap treatment though, I will need to paint the wall. Stay tuned.
-Clear out two kitchen cabinets. I did complete this one and will share a post on the process and what other plans I have later this month.
HEALTH
I continue to struggle in this area but I do continue to work on it. By working on it I mean completing the activities even when I don’t want to and as well as keeping my goals in front of me.
-Exercise 12 times this month. I got in 11 workouts.
-Strength Training 8 times and I got in 2 training sessions. (This one is a real struggle).
-Hydration-50 ounces 20 days. I managed 19 days.
CREATIVE
-Make 2 birthday cards. I did this one but was not happy with myself that I waited until the last minute. You’ll see the card later this month.
-Do a craft project-I did not complete this one but likely because I didn’t really define what I meant.
-Do seasonal decor. I completed this one. For me, this meant decorating for Valentine’s Day. I was very happy with my decor (which remains up as I type this)!
-Work on my photo organization project a minimum of 30 minutes each week. I did complete this one and realized that it is a HUUUUGE project. I have over 10,000 photos, some duplicates, taken with 2 different cameras.
SPIRITUAL
-Daily gratitude journaling-I continue this practice and continue to enjoy it. I am working on making sure that I am thoughtful about my gratitude while also making sure that I am not dismissive of something that doesn’t seem “big” enough. I like to appreciate the big, the small and the ordinary. Sometimes, that means being grateful for and appreciating the days that I don’t have to set an alarm.
-Start one nightstand book-I didn’t do this one and it’s likely because I didn’t have a plan.
FINANCIAL
-Contact AT&T and Comcast about reducing monthly bills. I did complete this one with differing results. It was annoying and frustrating and I hate Comcast!! Because I live in a condo and enjoy live sports, I don’t have a ton of tv options. I might be looking for some though. I spent 40 minutes on the phone with Comcast where the rep kept saying how much they valued my business but only offered packages where my bill would increase (“only $5”!) or where I would have to purchase something. As I type this, I getting annoyed again so let’s just say I met my goal but did not get the result I wanted.
AT&T was better. I have a hard wired land line that I want to keep but only for emergencies. The only calls I get are spam robo calls and I never use the phone to call out. I was able to get my bill reduced by $20.
COMMUNITY
-Host my annual Oscar Party-Completed and tons of fun!
-Ask friends for help with my mirror project-Completed (see above for details).
Overall, I am happy with how February went. I was fairly consistent (always room for improvement). And now, on to March.
GOALS FOR MARCH
HOME

-Plank the mirror wall in the master bathroom. I researched what I need and how much. Just need to do a Home Depot run.
-Remove the medicine cabinet. I’m not sure if I mentioned before but I have decided that I will remove the medicine cabinet and install shelves in it’s place.
-Cut the linoleum border. In preparation to install new flooring, I need to cut the old linoleum border. Instead of baseboards, the former owners ran the linoleum sheet up the wall.
-Clean out 2 or more kitchen cabinets.
