Well, we made it to the half way point of the year. Again, I’m not going to talk about how quickly the year is flying by but it is!!
My life has been a little up and down this past month and things went a bit off track. I’m not going to beat myself up for it but I will acknowledge that I am a little disappointed. Since there’s no where to go but forward, that’s what I will do.
As usual, I’ll start by reviewing the goals for May and then share my June goals.
MAY REVIEW
Home
Work on the Pantry Project-DONE. I emptied the pantry, un-decorated it, took the measurements for the shelves and started thinking about the design. It remains my goal to finish this project by the end of the month!
Creative
Send out birthday cards-DONE
Put PL 2023 into an album-In Progress I received the products needed as well as the printed photos. However, I have not yet organized the photos so that I can put them into the album. I’m halfway there!
Fitness/Health
This is the area that I really do not want to discuss! I totally back slid this month after doing so much better last month. However, to continue with the consistency of posting my statistics, here they are:
Cardio x 3 (12-15 times per month)-completed 6 times
Strength x 3 (12-15 times per month)-completed 6 times
Stretching x5 (20-25 times per month-completed 8 times
Financial
Track receipts-DONE
Complete a past budget-In progress. I organized the receipts and paperwork but have not totally completed a past budget. Again, halfway is better than no way!
Self Care/Personal Growth
Take a bath-DONE. I don’t know why something so simple can be so difficult to complete. I absolutely enjoyed my bath experience and look forward to doing it again. I was able to actually relax and just enjoy the moment.
Some hits and some misses for May. All in all, things worked out okay. I am thankful that I have more opportunities to make the changes I desire.
I should also tell you that while my goals didn’t all get completed, I did take a couple of days off in the middle of the month to get some things done around the home. I didn’t finish everything on this list but I did get many things accomplished.
Things I Did:
-made bagels
-made 2 loaves of sandwich bread
-made a crockpot chicken enchilada dish (freezer meal)
-made a peach pork meal (freezer meal)
-made waffles (freezer meal)
-cleaned all of the windows and mirrors
-cleaned all of the baseboards
As I look at this list, I think I should give myself a little more credit for what I did do!
And now, back to regularly scheduled programming!!!
JUNE MONTHLY GOALS AND PROJECTS
HOME

*Pantry project-finish it! This would be a great finish for being halfway through the year!
CREATIVE

*Send out any cards (if any)
*Put 2022 Project Life pages into an album
*Put 2023 Project Life pages into an album
FITNESS/HEALTH

As before, I’m going to continue with these same goals until I am successful.
Cardio x 3 per week (12)
Strength x 3 per week (12)
Stretch x 5 per week (20)
I had hoped I’d be further along in my consistency halfway through the year. A bit disappointed but not defeated.
FINANCIAL

*Track Receipts
*Finish at least one past budget
SELF CARE/PERSONAL GROWTH

*Take a bath
*Read personal growth book daily for a minimum of 5 minutes per day (I’m aiming for consistency here not necessarily to finish the book in a month).
June is going to be a busy month overall and I am committed to working hard to meet my goals. I am attempting to be more disciplined and not pay attention to motivation.
How are your goals going? Do you feel like you’re on track, abandoned your goals completely or are you somewhere in the middle? Share in the comments.
Note: there is nothing new checked off of my running to do list! Will update you when something new goes on the list or something comes off of the list.
