February Monthly Goals

After 165 days in January, it’s time to share my goals, projects and habits. Let’s review how things went last month and the plan for February.

HOME

Clean out my primary closet-NOPE. I didn’t do this at all but I learned something this month. And that is, I have to take care of getting my house in order before I can think about working on projects. After the holidays, there was a lot I needed to do once I returned from being out of town. I needed to go through the holiday decor, take down the tree and return the decor items to the storage area. This normally wouldn’t have taken so much time but I started the year with a cold and didn’t have much energy for several days. Plus, I am having an issue with a sore finger which is limiting my mobility. And it’s on my dominant hand so everything started later than planned and took longer to finish.

Goodwill Run-NOPE. I just didn’t schedule time to get this done and also I had hoped that I would be adding more clothes to the pile but as we know the closet did not get cleaned out.

CREATIVE

Send out birthday cards for January birthdays-NOPE
Build out card stash-NOPE
See above for the reasons why. This specifically has to with my sore finger and inability to use it much.

FITNESS/HEALTH

Daily Stretch-Completed 19 sessions. While I did not meet my goal, I was more consistent. The reason I miss 12 days is because I forgot. I have not yet worked out a habit of doing this at the same time every day or even setting an alarm. But I did make some progress with consistency with is key to building a new habit.

Strength Training-3 sessions per week (12-15)-Completed 10 sessions. Again, I didn’t meet my monthly goal but I did do more than I ever have in a very long time! I’m trying to build a habit so I can’t get down on myself if it’s not perfect. I did have some days where I gave 100% and other days where I gave less but on those days where I did less I still give myself credit because I didn’t feel like doing anything at all and I made myself do something!

FINANCIAL

Complete January budget-Work in progress. I’m giving myself a bit of grace on this one because of starting the year sick and then needing to learn to use the template. I watched the 40 minute video a couple of times before I felt comfortable in starting with date entry. I am in the middle of it as we speak.

Track receipts-COMPLETED. I kept receipts from all of my purchases, checked my credit cards for automatic charges as well as my checking account.

I’m not mad about how my month went. I took the time to do what I accomplished the right way and some things took longer than anticipated. I learned some valuable lessons which will aid me now and in the future.

FEBRUARY GOALS, PROJECTS, AND HABITS
