As we head towards the end of the year in less than 60 days, let’s review our goals for last month. I try not to put too much pressure on myself to get lots done during this time of year but I still want to maintain a “to do” or “get it done” rhythm!
October Review
HOME
-Empty filing cabinet-DONE. I had one drawer left to empty that housed my paperwork and I found space in the guest room closet makeover to store it all.
-Finish guest room closet-DONE and I posted about it here.
-Get quotes for my ceiling drywall-NOT YET but I did ask some friends for recommendations including apps that they’ve used to find workers.
-Clean out 2 drawers-NOPE. I really thought this would be an easy one but I just didn’t get to it.
CREATIVE
-Finalize holiday card design-NOPE. Again, just another thing that I didn’t get to.
-Clear scrap area-DONE but then I made a mess again because I was working on a couple of projects. In reality, I cleared the area and put items away so that I could start work on some things. The area will likely stay kind of a mess until after the holidays. That’s really okay with me because my goal is to clean up after each project. That is still a work in progress.
FITNESS/HEALTH
-Make green juice at least twice this month-NOPE. I can’t seem to decide if this is something that I want to do on a regular basis. I enjoy the juice when I do make it but I could never find the energy to make it. I’ll be thinking about this one and whether or want to continue or change the timing.
FINANCIAL
-Complete the monthly budget-NOPE
-Weekly tracking-casually but not as organized as I wanted it to be.
NOVEMBER GOALS
November is the official start of holiday season and life gets busier and busier. I am going to be nice to myself and focus on getting my holiday projects done and on time and focus on enjoying that!
HOME
**Declutter 2-4 drawers
CREATIVE
**Finalize card design by 11/7
**Start making holiday cards
**Make gifts for friends, family and work colleagues
FITNESS/HEALTH
*Eat no more than 1 lunch out per week when in the field for work
FINANCIAL
**Look for a budget template that does more automatic calculations. Part of the reason I procrastinate on my budget work is because I have to do so many manual calculations! Call me lazy but I want the numbers to magically go where they’re supposed. I’ll likely talk to my friend, Michyle, who is a spread sheet wizard to see if my wants are realistic!
