Since we’re already on the fashion train, I decided to talk about a few of my favorite fall fashion trends. Fall is my favorite season due in no small part to all of the fun clothes. Sweaters, boots, layers, plaid, leather, hats, scarves, there’s no end to fun fall fashion.
Fashion trends come and go but many are seasonal and stand the test of time year after year. Today, I’m going to share with you a few of my favorite trends for this fall.
ANIMAL PRINT
Animal print used to come and go but for the past few years now, it has stayed put. It used to be very outrageous and showy but is now considered a neutral.
You see animal print in every form of clothing including shoes, purses, and accessories. You can wear almost any color with animal print. Different colors with animal print generally give you a different vibe. Classically, reds, browns and blacks are most commonly worn with these prints. However, purple, yellow and green also look nice with animal prints.
BURGUNDY
I love this color and I’m so glad that it’s back this fall. This color trend includes many shades of red and deep red from cranberry to wine red to a deep merlot. It is a rich jewel tone that looks good on many people.
Just like black, burgundy is a color that you can easily wear because it goes with lots of other colors-only your imagination limits you! Burgundy is a color that shines on it’s own but also looks lovely with prints. The combination of burgundy bottoms with a polka dot shirt is definitely a winner with me.
CHOCOLATE BROWN
This is another beautifully rich jewel tone color that is complimentary to many skin tones. Like burgundy, there are many different shades to choose from and play with.
And again, like the color burgundy, chocolate/brown can be worn in place of black which can sometimes feel very harsh in some circumstances or occasions.
And again, this is a color that can combined with many others-white, black, red, yellow, pink, green-the list goes on.
LEATHER
In recent years, leather, and particularly faux leather but has been greatly improved making it easy to wear not just for special occasions but on the daily. It is a material that can definitely be dressed up or down. You can be classy, edgy and anywhere inbetween.
Good quality faux leather at a very affordable price is easy to find. Amazon, Target, Walmart and many other retailers sell faux leather items. No more plastic-ky looking and feeling products!!
I currently own some items in all of the categories on this list. In terms of animal print, I only have some flats so I’m looking for either a skirt, shirt or cover up to add to my collection. I’m also in the market for a leather blazer and I have a pleated leather skirt on the way.
Earlier this year, I purchased some burgundy knit cargo pants.
