My Favorite Things

I always mean to do this quarterly but I either forget or can’t remember where I’ve been keeping my list! In 2024, I’m going to make a real effort to do this quarterly. Regardless of how long it’s been, here are a few of my favorite things!

Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum

I love this serum. It is very hydrating and I love how it feels on my skin. I use it in the mornings after another thicker serum and before my moisturizer and eye cream. It is well priced and I buy it at Ulta.

Fulfil Vitamin and Protein Bars

It may seem strange to have a protein bar in a favorite things list but when you are a person who has tried and hated all others when you find one that is actually good, you sing it’s praises! There are 5 different flavors of which I’ve had two-this one and the hazelnut. So far, this salted caramel is my fave but I look forward to trying other flavors. I have bought these at Trader Joe’s but it appears that are carried at other major retailers as well. And they have boxes with all of the flavors so I’ll be trying those as well. This bar has 1 gram of sugar and 15 grams of protein and is gluten free. This salted caramel legit tastes like a candy bar. Perfect for my toddler palette!

Reusable Pill Pouches

Nothing earth shattering about this favorite thing but as you know I love things that make my life easier. Like many folks my age, I take medications and vitamins. If I’m home when it’s time to take them, no problem. But often I’m out and have pills that I need to take at dinner time. These reusable zip packs are easy to carry around while out and about.

Bottle

When I walk outside, I like having water with me. However, I do not like holding things in my hand. While this contraption straps to the hand, it doesn’t feel restrictive and is quite comfortable to hold. I can move my arms at a natural pace and don’t have to worry about the bottle falling.

Dutch Oven

I love kitchen stuff-gadgets, pots and pans, tools, etc…I got this because I got into my head that I want to make bread. I did make bread and it was okay. I’ll definitely try it again. But I’ve also used it for other food items especially casserole or one pot meals. I love cooking with it and I think it’s really pretty.

Walking Pad

I bought this during Amazon Prime Day (July) because I was thinking it will be a nice way to get some steps in, keep up my walking even when it’s wet and cold outside and have fewer excuses for not getting a work out in. It took a little getting used to walking on it without veering and falling off but now that I’m using it regularly it’s tons of fun and I great a really good workout.

Belt Bag

I love this easy bag. It’s nice for travel or when you want your hands free. It’s small but fits my phone, keys, small wallet, lip products and anything I need for a day out. They come in many different colors and designs and you don’t need to spend an arm and a leg on the original (unless you want to).

Animal Print Boots

So cute and so fun to wear! Animal print is considered a neutral so you can wear them with just about anything. Animal print is also a staple for the fall so it’s the perfect time to acquire a pair.

iMac Computer

I decided to finally upgrade my digital life to everything Apple. I already have an iPhone, iPad, and an Apple Watch. I decided that it was time for all of my computerized life to be on one system so the iMac won out. It is a gorgeous machine. It comes in a few different colors and I got the purple. The keypad is also purple as is the USB cord that comes with it. I must admit that I have enjoyed having everything in sync. I can text and FaceTime from this desk top which means that I don’t have to try and find my phone when a text comes in. I’m still learning the creative functions like photo editing and it’s a bit of a learning curve. I do not regret this purchase.

Computer Monitor Message Board

This is a really neat accessory. The iMac is a really sleek machine and I didn’t want to muck it up with sticky notes. This transparent board is very handy. Because it’s transparent, it doesn’t really stand out even when you have sticky notes on it.

Webcam Covers

Most, if not all computers and laptops come with built in cameras. And most people don’t want their movements watched when their camera is not on. For those of us who don’t want to risk it, you can put a sticky note over the lens or if you want something a bit more fun you get these little stickers that hide the camera and then you slide it open when you use the camera. It’s also a bit more stylish than a sticky note!

My current favorites are done for 2023! I’ll try to remember to get on a schedule for 2024. I enjoy sharing products that bring me some joy and are actually useful. I hope you’ve enjoyed my favorites as well. Let me know in the comments if you think you might try any of my faves!
