Monthly Goals-July 2023

July monthly goals

Here we go again!  It’s Chapter 7 of 12 and time to set monthly goals and review goals from June. Again, I’m living the progress not perfection life so while I may not have made all of my goals any progress in good progress.  I waver at times between giving myself grace while still challenging myself. I know that if I want something to be different then I have to behave differently. A work in progress, I am. Steps in the right direction are just that-steps in the right direction.

CREATIVE

Send a just because card to my cousin in Memphis –In Progress-I was going to make a new card & so I procrastinated. I’ve decided to just send a card that I already have made-the point is to send the card. 

HEALTH/FITNESS

Exercise 6 times-Completed 5 sessions

5500 steps x 20 days-Completed 18 days

Blood sugar tracking-7 day average=188; 30 day average=174; 90 day average=176-Link to last months numbers

SPIRITUAL

Steam x 4 days-completed zero
Mask x 4 days-completed 1
Interestingly, I did not track exfoliation days but I did manage 8 days!

FINANCIAL

Play catch up with budget tasks and enter receipts weekly-COMPLETE AND UTTER FAIL

Thoughts and Strategies

My goal list is a bit light this month because it’s my birthday month and I like to celebrate all month! I also have decided that I’m not going to put so much stress on myself this month. With the spiritual category, I am going to try and set a time each night to do my night time skin care. One of the recent things I heard from a dermatologist that I watch on YouTube is to do your skincare at night early enough so that the products don’t head up on your pillow. Most folks, including me, tend to do these tasks right before bed! This month my goal is to start my nighttime skin care routine will be scheduled for 9:00 PM. That should be a good time because most of my meeting end by 8/8:30. I often don’t get things done like steaming and masks because I’m too tired and it’s too late when I’m going to bed.
With my financial category, I’m going easy this month. I’ll enter the receipts and if I want to spend more time on it I will. If not, I will have met my goal!! My hope is that this strategy will help me to develop at least this small habit which will lead to other good habits!!
