Time for the monthly fashion show! The outfits that I’m featuring today are nothing special but I can tell from the photos that I was feeling myself! I was playing around with the camera, using the remote and taking photos in different locations. It is definitely a demonstration of how I think about clothes and fashion. It should be fun, sometimes silly but totally individual. You will see none of these outfits on the runway but you will likely see them on the runways of the local neighborhoods! Enjoy!
OUTFIT #1
Nothing in these photos is new. I’ve had all of these pieces for a good while now. The t-shirt is from the Black History collection from Target from 2021 or 2022. The frayed jeans several years old and the lug sole boots are from last fall.
Here I am using the remote in my bathroom and doing fun poses. Why? No reason-I was just having fun!
OUTFIT #2
This is a “going to watch football” outfit! I’m wearing a George Kittle (SF49ers) t-shirt and my favorite high waistedblack jeans.
I’m still kicking around in my adidas tennis shoes that I’ve had for a few years as well. They are comfy and cute. I am by no means a “sneaker head” so I don’t care that the shoes are scuffed.
OUTFIT #3
This looks like a casual Friday work outfit. The length on the jeans is ankle length and they are straight legged jeans. Boot cut jeans look great with boots but so do straight legged jeans. This is a great length for all seasons. These straight legged jeans also look good with tennis shoes and flats.
I love this polka dot shirt which is also very old.
OUTFIT #4
Here is another variation on the jeans, boots, and shirt theme! These are in fact boot cut jeans. They are longer than the straight legged jeans and they cover the top of the boots.
Here I’m showing the sheer sleeves on this light weight sweater. It’s perfect for evenings or even cooler days. The neck is a mock turtle neck so it’s loose which means the sweater is not too hot to wear. I wore a blazer with this outfit and yes, I was feeling very cute.
OUTFIT #5
This was a very casual outfit that I wore to a meeting. I was feeling lazy and didn’t really want to get dressed but I couldn’t go out in gross clothes.
This is one of my favorite bodysuits from Amazon along with my favorite joggers. The bodysuit is from last year and the joggers are from 2020. A great COVID purchase!
It was a little chilly this evening so I also wore this sleeveless sweater. I tied the belt at my natural waist line and not the loop where its supposed to go. That loop is very low and I never use it. I could cut it but then I’d probably want to use it! Another final photo use the timer and I just like how this one turned out!
And finally, because I was totally feeling myself, I’ll leave you with this shot of me!
We don’t celebrate our mid life selves often enough. Society tells us that we’re no longer important, that we don’t matter. Well, I know that we do matter! And I’m celebrate my not young, mid life self by sharing this photo where I think I look great!!
