Here I am today with my monthly fashion show! I have such a good time taking photos of my everyday and occasionally special outfits. It’s fun to see what gets repeated and how I style different outfits. This month is no different. There are very few new pieces and most (if not all of the clothing) you’ve seen before. Next year, I’m going to try and demonstrate how I’ve worn the same pieces in different ways.

This was a casual work day outfit on a day that was really warm. The shirt and skirt are years old and the sneakers are a couple of months old. I love this skirt because it can be dressed up or down (as above) and it has pockets!!
I am trying hard to wear “all” of the clothes in my closet and not just favor the newer items.

Another outfit for another hot day. The goal here was to stay cool and comfortable. Again, only the shoes are new-ish. The shirt and pants are old.
These shoes add some color to an all white outfit. The shoes are Clarks and were purchased at an outlet mall in August. I love the blush/rose color and they are very comfortable.

It’s still hot!! You can tell because I have on sandals!! This piece is at least 15 years old and I have never worn them together. I’ve worn the skirt a few times but the shirt only once. It’s cropped so it doesn’t get much wear. I did wear a camisole underneath on this day because I don’t think it’s appropriate to wear a cropped shirt for work. It is helpful that the pattern distracts from the cropped-ness!
Now that I’ve put this outfit back into rotation, I can definitely see the skirt being worn during the fall and winter with boots or with my chunky loafers.

This is a pretty basic outfit. It’s what I wear when I don’t feel like thinking about my outfit. Basic black pants with a shirt.
The only thing that classes this up a bit are my Ferragamo flats! I love the scallop detail on the sides and the classic Ferragamo bow!

This is another take on the “I don’t want to think about clothes today” day! These are the same white linen pants that I featured earlier with a tie front t-shirt. The shirt being long sleeved and with the knot-tie makes it not so casual.
I again paired this outfit with my fun sneakers but could have easily worn any kind of flat shoe, plain white sneakers, mule or even clogs.

And finally, this one is just for fun! I am a die hard SF 49ers fan and most weekends, I go to a local watering hole to watch the game with some friends. I don’t put a ton of thought into my outfit other than I must wear some team gear!!
That’s it for this month’s fashion round up. It’s so fun for me to look back and see what I wore and think about how I feel about my outfits. I think I mentioned in a previous post (I don’t recall when) that I said one of the things I do with outfits is that if I wear something but don’t feel good about it, if it doesn’t feel like it wears well or fits right, when I take it off, I clean it and immediately but it in the donation pile.
There’s is no reason to hold on to clothes that you don’t feel good in or no longer fit!! It’s also a way to constantly clean your closet and rotate your clothes.
The fashion this month feels a bit more simple than usual but that’s okay. We had some really hot days and I tend to like to keep it simple during those days. Maybe next month I’ll some more interesting fashion choices!
