Today is the most important day in America. It is election day. It is the day that we are given the opportunity to give voice to attempt to create the society we want to live in. I believe our democracy is under attack and we’re in danger of losing what many have fought so hard for. It doesn’t matter what political persuasion you are, we are all necessary to make this process work.
We can have different views and different ways to get to the goal but you have to VOTE!!
If you don’t vote, then you’re part of the problem and you can keep your complaints to yourself. That may be harsh but voting is the time we have to speak our collective minds. We are living in a time where some places are working hard and sometimes very covertly to make voting harder if not impossible for some. Your vote counts! Use it!!
I used to go with my mother to the polls to vote when I was a child. It was very exciting for my sisters and I to be a part of that process! They didn’t have stickers then but the people at the polling place were always very nice to us. Voting has always been a positive experience for me.
Even if you’re disgusted by the state of politics, do your part to help to change it. VOTE.
