October Monthly Goals

We have reached the 4th quarter of 2022! We are now in the final 3 months of the year. Some people choose to slow down and not try and get too much done and others try to finish out the year by getting as much done as possible. I fall somewhere in the middle. I like to get some projects done but I also like to just enjoy the season and not worry about being productive!
September is now behind me so let’s see what I got done or not.

September Review

HOME
Clean out 2 drawers-NOPE
Clean out one area of guest room closet-NOPE
Goodwill Run-NOPE
Clean out one box in the dining room-NOPE

CREATIVE
Start researching holiday card designs-COMPLETE and ONGOING. I haven’t made a final decision yet but I have been looking online at different designs for inspiration and developing some ideas.

FITNESS/HEALTH
Exercise 10 times-ZERO. Somehow the month and my discipline got away from me!
Steps 6000 x 15 days-COMPLETED 10 DAYS
Don’t buy candy to have at home-I did pretty good for most of the month but I did buy “home” candy 2 times this month. I tend to think of candy/sweets as a reward. When I am on call, I will sometimes give myself a “treat.” It is this mindset that I’m trying to break. Also, on Fridays when I am bone tired from work, I convince myself that I can have a treat while I watch a movie that night and relax. It’s not an everyday thing. It’s mostly a weekend thing. This is a habit I will continue to work on breaking.

SPIRITUAL
Investigate Transcendental meditation-COMPLETED. I attended a one hour introduction class. I have not yet decided if I will move forward but I’m closer to yes rather than no.
Mask-once per week-I managed to do 2.
Exfoliate 3 times per week-COMPLETED
I have mentioned in the past that I love skin care products. I’m realizing that the more I do things like exfoliate and mask, the more products I can try!

FINANCIAL
Weekly spending tracking-COMPLETED and I realized that I am spending too much money on wants that aren’t important or don’t really improve the quality or ease of my life. I’m okay with spending money on things that enhance my life or make it easier but I’m feeling the need to do a no spend week or month to help reign in the impulsivity.

*DEVELOP A PLAN FOR HOLIDAY SPENDING

Welcome to October! My goals are simple but impactful for me. Wish me luck and discipline with completing them!
