Favorite Things-Part One

It has been a little over a year since my last favorite things post! Next year, I want to try and do these at least quarterly because there are items that I love but after awhile they just become a normal part of my routine. I have 10 things total but I’m going to break it up into 2 posts so that it’s not too long!

Honeywell Tower Fan

I purchased this fan several months ago not because it was super hot but because I finally realized that it would be helpful in keeping air moving around my home. It was fabulously helpful recently when the temperatures got up into the low 100’s for a few days!! It has several levels of fan so it can be deliciously quiet or very forceful. It also has a remote so I don’t have to move in order to change the settings.

Roomba iRobot i2

I bought my iRobot on prime day this year. It is a more basic version but I think it’s a good one to start with. I named her Rosie after the maid on the Jetsons! I connected Rosie with Alexa who tells me when the bin is full and needs to be emptied and also lets me know if she is stuck somewhere. My most favorite feature though, is the ability to schedule when Rosie runs. My home is not super large, 1324 square feet and I don’t have pets so I don’t feel the need to run Rosie daily. I have her set to run 3 times per week which seems to work well. When she was first running and learning the layout of my house, I had to empty the bin at least 2 times during each cleaning session. However, now I only need to to empty the bin once during the sessions. I have found that it is best to schedule cleaning sessions a couple of hours before I get home so that if she gets stuck somewhere it won’t be long until I can her out. The best part is that I have constant vacuum lines!!!

Spa Wrist Bands

Okay, full disclosure-not having these will not ruin your life. However, having them makes washing my face a lot more fun and keeps my wrists and arms dry. Additionally, the shirt I’m wearing doesn’t get drenched!! If you don’t know what these are, you wear them when washing your face so that when you are splashing water on your face to remove the product, the water stays on the wrist bands and doesn’t run everywhere. It’s one of those things that just makes a daily activity just a little nicer!

Trampoline

While it is not easy to store this thing, it gives a really nice cardio work out. I use it on its own and also during interval training. Not a lot of movement gets your heart rate going! I also like it because it’s easy on these knees but you still get a great workout!

Cord Hiders

I talked about these boxes in my Living Room refresh and I continue to love them. It’s so nice to not have to see a bunch of cords all tangled together. These boxes have one job and they do it well. FYI-these are really called something like cord management boxes but I like cord hiders!!

That’s part one of my favorite things. I’ll have 5 more of my favorites next week!
Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to share your favorites in the comments!
