Sharing some of my recent outfit choices! And, to tuck or not to tuck? That is a personal choice! Read on for further explanation.
OUTFIT #1
This is an easy to wear outfit that I wore to a bookclub gathering. Other than the pants which I showed in this blog post, the other clothing items and shoes are old. The top I am wearing is actually a body suit which works well with light pants like these. It keeps the top not just tucked in but also not too bulky. I don’t recall where I got this body suit from but Amazon has quite a few good choices.
OUTFIT #2
This is an old dress that is really comfortable and works great when it’s warm outside. It also fits the bill of my favorite type of dressing which is one piece dressing. This is a Universal Standard dress and it is really comfortable. It is the iconic Geneva dress that they always have. They also have it in a sleeveless form.
I’m also showing you my new favorite earrings which I got around holiday time. I don’t know what name to give them but I think they’re super cute!!
OUTFIT #3
There is one new think in these photos and it’s the jacket! Everything else is years old! I love this outfit! It’s nothing particularly special but I felt good wearing it. The jacket smartens up the classic jeans and tshirt combo.
OUTFIT #4
To Tuck or Not to Tuck??????
Let’s address the elephant in the room (or the pictures)! I have curly hair again!!
So, I used to be very anti-tuck but I’ve realized that tucking in shirts can actually help your silhouette look neater. Oversized shirts can often appear sloppy when the look you’re going for is comfy casual!
There are all sorts of ways to tuck-full tuck, half tuck, knotted tuck and side tuck. If the shirt is a button up one, you can even do a tie up tuck! I generally prefer half tuck with my butt at least partially covered.
What do you think? Are you pro or anti tucking? How about blazers with jeans? Fashion forward or not? Share in the comments and thanks for reading.
