Time to share what I’ve been wearing lately. As I’ve said in the past, fashion and playing around with my own style is a form of creativity that I enjoy. Trying new styles is fun as well. Another way getting dressed is functional for me is that if I wear something and I’m not comfortable in it or it no longer suits me, I clean it and then put it in my “to be donated” pile. I haven’t done this for awhile which is one of the reasons my closet is kind of a mess. COVID took me off schedule so it’s time to get back on it!
OUTFIT 1
This is a simple casual Friday outfit. It had been warm on this day so I was wearing white jeans and a black shirt with white polka dots. You have seen this shirt before as well as the jeans but those have been in the closet for awhile.
There is nothing really special about this outfit and it doesn’t even really show off my style. It is, however, something easy to throw on when you don’t want to really think about it! It’s always good to have outfits that you can just throw on without giving it much thought.
OUTFIT 2
Another simple outfit but with a bit more style! These pants are wide legged which I’ve paired with a flowing shirt. Typically, I would not wear such a flowing shirt with wide leg bottoms but this shirt has enough structure and tapering that it doesn’t leave me with a messy look.
OUTFIT 3
This was a fun outfit. We had a Mardi Gras potluck at my office and this is my version of a “festive work outfit.” I’m wearing a matte gold silk type shirt with vegan leather pants (similar). My sweater (which is a decade old) is stretchy with leather accents. It was a fun and work appropriate outfit without being too outrageous!
Accessory wise, I also wore large gold hoop earrings, a stacked gold necklace and my favorite leopard ankle tie flats. I really liked this type of outfit because you can dress it up or down. The vegan leather pants can easily be worn with a t-shirt and tennis shoes for a more casual look.
OUTFIT 4
This is a favorite look of mine in that it’s simple but the shirt gives it some interest. The shirt is new and I liked it so much that I also got in in black. This shirt easily pairs with jeans or leggings and you can wear any shoes that you want.
I paired this look with some suede ankle tie flats. Again, you can wear tennis shoes, boots, ankle boots, etc…
OUTFIT 5
My final outfit is something I wore when out running errands. I’m wearing exercise tights with a long sweatshirt. This shirt keeps me warm without me getting super hot. I like that I don’t need to wear a jacket on cold days with this sweatshirt.
This shirt truly is COZY!! I’m also wearing my favorite Ecco slip on-s that I bought on Black Friday 2021. They are so comfortable and I wear them every chance I get!
That’s it for this month of what I wore recently. I really look forward to getting out more and having more opportunities to express my style and creativity through my clothes.
