My monthly memory keeping practice is one of my most favorite activities. I not only enjoy the daily, weekly and monthly process, I also like looking back over the previous years. I have been doing Project Life since 2010.
As I’ve said in the past, I use this practice to document my every day, ordinary life and not just the special events. Sometimes my daily photos seem so “meh” but when I look back, they are meaningful in their own small way. Looking back also helps me to really appreciate how lovely my life really is!
WEEK ONE-FEBRUARY 1-7
After January, February feels like the year is starting to settle in. Life is starting to open up and we can start making plans again.
WEEK TWO-FEBRUARY 8-14
It’s nice to be out of the house more and great to be with friends! This is what I am looking forward to a lot.
WEEK THREE-FEBRUARY 15-21
Spending time with family is good, too even when they drive you a little crazy! My Aunt Joyce was at the baby shower and it was good to be able to see her and spend some time talking with her. My mom has been having some health issues and my Aunt helped me think about things in a different way which was good for me.
WEEK FOUR-FEBRUARY 22-28
More time with friends equals more and more happiness! I’ve gotten really used to being at home that I have to make more of an effort to get out again!
I used to do the physical version of Project Life but I find that I keep up with it doing it digitally. 2021 was the first year that I did it digitally and I had the pages printed out so that I could create an album like previous years.
Do you engage in memory keeping? What do you do?
