Today, I want to share with you some items that I have been loving for the past few months. These are items that I use very regularly and make my life easier and more efficient.
TECHNOLOGY
In the last several months, I have been enjoying a few tech products that have been making my life easier. I am not generally a “techy” person who has to have the latest and greatest but I do like it when technology allows me to do what I want do it more easily and do it well.
I hate that technology upgrades every few years!! I don’t feel the need to upgrade that quickly but when the item starts to slow down or when I start having to do things to compensate then it’s time to upgrade. My old iPad was several years old, had very small storage, and could no longer update to the latest IOS. I did a lot of research and ended up getting the iPad Air 4. It’s the mid-range iPad and does everything I need it to. I liked the idea of the super large iPad Pro but knew that it would not be very portable because of the size and weight of it. FYI-I did get this pretty rose gold color!
To go along with adding to the ease of use, I also got an Apple Pencil-2nd edition. At first I wasn’t sure, but the more I use it the more I like it. Something that helped me to like it were these pencil nibs. Writing on glass is slippery and it was hard to write well/accurately. The nibs offer just enough friction or grip without changing the iPad experience.
And finally, ease, comfort and portability are my main criteria. Because sometimes I need to be out of my office and not in front of my laptop, I also acquired a wireless keyboard and mouse so that I can work comfortably from my couch for coffee shop. The keyboard is really helpful when typing a lot and the mouse is especially helpful when working with photos.
My dentist strongly recommended that I get an electronic toothbrush and he was very specific that it not be a battery operated one. I am working very hard on my gum health and I can tell that using this toothbrush has helped.
KITCHEN
I have expressed my love for kitchen gadgets in the past and I believe the anything that helps me to prepare better meals, eat better and make better choices is worth a spot in my kitchen.
My newest love is a bluetooth chopper. It chops veggies, cheese, nuts, garlic, etc….It charges with a USB cable and keeps the charge for a long time. This item has helped me especially with chopping vegetables for use in salads. I can pre-chop and put it in containers and have things ready to go.
I’ve also chopped up shrimp, celery, carrots, cheese, bacon sausage, and many other items!
Kitchen Aid mixers are classic and legendary but they also come with attachments. My favorite is the shredder/grater attachment that I use to shred lots of cheese. I know that you can buy shredded cheese in the stores but those are filled with stuff other than cheese. I use cheese regularly and have no problem using it up in salads, omelettes, grilled cheese, quesadillas-the list goes on!
And lastly, my air fryer has become quite the star of the kitchen. I easily use it once a day but more often twice per day. Initially, I was only making french fries but now I do bacon, chicken, vegetables, orange chicken and mozzarella sticks.
I also have an air fryer cookbook and I plan to make several of the recipes from it.
TRAVEL
I am doing some traveling this year and need to contain all of the electronics that come along on the trips. This travel charging station holds several items and keeps them self contained. That’s what I liked about it because often you have several items spread all over which makes it easy to forget something. The tech items that always come with me are my iPhone, Apple watch and AirPods. For longer trips, I will include my iPad and Apple Pencil.
FASHION
As much as I like fashion, it’s surprising to me that my list is very tech heavy! However, fashion will always find its way in. My current fashion love are my Adidas tennis shoes. I like wearing them with everything-pants, dresses, skirts, etc…..
