Monthly Memory Keeping-February Project Life

Let’s review the memories I preserved for the month of February.

WEEK ONE

February is Black History Month which means that many tv stations and organizations focus on the accomplishments of African-Americans. Because of the “racial reckoning” that started last year, many organizations who wouldn’t normally participate in Black History events are doing so this year. Michaels (the craft store) is featuring African-American artists and products.
This week was also the Super Bowl which saw old man Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat up on the heavily favored Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. Brady gets a ton of hate mostly, I think, because he’s been so good for so very long.

WEEK TWO

This very ordinary week in my finds me eating Jolly Ranchers for a taste of sugar, working on my office refresh, attending a virtual baby shower at work and most importantly receiving my 2nd COVID vaccine. Minor rant: I bought the Jolly Ranchers with only the red color because those are my favorite. Why are there like only 3 watermelon, 6 cherry and 4 strawberry and the rest fruit punch! Annoying!!

WEEK THREE

This week I’m finding little joys wherever I can. I both some cute lights for my office, watched the Warriors annihilate the Mavericks, read a good book and found some mini It’s It at my local grocery store.

WEEK FOUR

The final week of this month finds me with a refreshed office, getting some new pajamas and with flat ironed hair! And, I was able to go out to dinner (outdoors)with a couple of friends in San Francisco. It felt great to be out and was so much fun. I look forward to doing much more of that very soon! I also look forward to being able to expand my life outside of my home. I know that when I look back I will appreciate that I documented some of the more mundane aspects of my life and the pandemic and quarantine but I’m ready for a little less mundane and a bit more excitement!

See you in March!!
