I’m back with another small project. Cleaning out the dresser drawers is one of those projects that I don’t typically think about doing until things start to get tight and I have a hard time closing the drawers.
The good news for me is that I do this often enough that it really isn’t a hard or long project.
BEFORE
The first thing that I typically do is gather different containers that I think I may want to use. As I have cleaning and re-organizing around my home, I am pleased to report that I have fewer and fewer containers to use. This means that I am using what I have and not worrying about matching containers. Like many folks, I am a fan of the Home Edit on Instagram. I recently watched their Netflix show, Get Organized with the Home Edit. They have a product line at The Container Store and watching that show definitely makes you want to organize all the things and buy all the beautiful products!
However, I am staying true to my goals and used what I had on hand.
Containers
These are some of the containers that I tried out while re-organizing my drawers.
The 3 drawers I worked on were my pajama drawer, special intimates drawer and the leggings/camisole drawer.
AFTER
OTHER STUFF
I had some lounge/pj pants that in my pajama drawer that I decided to put with my other lounge wear. My reasoning is that I won’t wear them as pajamas because it would be too hot for me (thanks, menopause).
DONATIONS
While I didn’t have a lot, I did find a few items for the donation bin!
I’m so happy to have finally gotten this very easy project done. It’s one of those projects that makes you wonder why it took you so long to do it!

At the mo, so many efforts can feel like they may just put you over the edge, so taking up even rewarding projects that aren’t stressful get left on the to-do-tomorrow list. Thanks for the reminder!
