I don’t want to say it but I can’t help it. Can you believe that it’s already October?!?!?! We are in the final 3!! months of 2020. This year has been slow as all get out and also faster than it seems. And I continue to be glad that I have continued to work on my monthly goals in spite of that fact that corona seems to not want us to be great!
Let’s review September goals and then we’ll move on to what I plan to work on this month.

September was so good in so many ways. I’m really trying to live the progress, not perfection idea!
OCTOBER
This month I will continue to work on de-cluttering and re-organizing different areas of my home. I’ll also continue to build some good habits with moving more and hydrating.
*Start office re-do
*Carpet clean-living room
*Clean out dresser-leggings, pajama and lingerie drawer
*Take donations to Goodwill
*Take broken vacuum to the dump
*Complete September Project Life
*Start designing my holiday card
*Photo organization-30 minutes per week
*Create 2 pages in the project life app (Sept & October)
*Continue daily gratitude journaling
*7500 steps-18 days-I’m not increasing this one because I am working on building habits. It doesn’t make sense to move up if I haven’t yet achieved the easier goal.
*80 ounces of water-21 days-I did 24 days last month but my goal is to increase incrementally so that the goal doesn’t become too big. When I get close to meeting this goal for 30 days, I’ll increase the amount.
*Exercise at least 2 days per week-this is another of my habit building goals. Because I’m working from home now and often have meetings in the evenings or am on call, I have to find ways and times to get my workouts in. I can’t schedule the same day and time every week because my schedule changes. Starting off with 2 days will help me to be successful and start of develop a rhythm.
*Track spending-I like doing this because it really makes me think about what I’m buying. There have been times when I’ve opted NOT to buy something because I’m being more thoughtful about my purchases. This is also important for me because this pandemic had me “pandemic shopping” and I could feel it getting out of control.
*No door dash-Again, this is one of those things I was doing because……PANDEMIC. I have plenty of food and there really is no reason for me order food. My goal here is to be mindful and to plan a door dash night in advance and not just because I don’t want to get off of the couch to cook for myself.
So, we are almost halfway through October when this is going up. Even if I don’t meet all of my goals, I know that I am doing way better than if I hadn’t made these plans at all.
Are you working on anything this month (70+ days before Christmas!!!)!!!?????

You can take your broken vacuum to Goodwill – they will accept broken electronics, which that counts as. And the nearest location for Goodwill drop off now is Chavez Supermarket lot in Redwood City (46 Fifth Ave, RWC). They’re only open Tues-Sat from 9am-2pm. But get there early because they close if they get full. I got there at 1pm on a Saturday and no luck!
