Monthly Memory Keeping-July Project Life

Documenting daily life during this pandemic is rather challenging right now. However, it’s also really important to document this very surreal time in our lives. I sometimes think about what future generations will think when they look back and see these photos and read my words. Will they think that this wasn’t so bad or will they think that we were whiny little wimps??!! Or, will they think that I just really liked my local sports teams? Who knows? That will be for the future generation(s) to figure out! In the meantime, I present to you JULY 2020 the pandemic edition.

WEEK ONE

project life week 1

I received my first Hello Fresh box this month. I’m not a great cook but these recipes are pretty easy to follow. I also FaceTimed with my little sister, Alissa. She and my mom called me to help them figure out the password for their Disney+ account so that they could watch Hamilton when it premiered on July 3!

WEEK TWO

project life week 2

George, Xavier and Ian came to visit for a few days. We did lots of touristy, outdoor things and had a blast! For work when I go to visit clients, I wear a mask AND a face shield. Soon, I will be fitted for an N95 mask to wear with my face shield.

WEEK THREE

project life week 3

This was my birthday week!! I turned 58 years old and celebrated with a socially distant dance party in the parking lot of a local school. It was loads of fun and was great to be face to face with my friends. I miss people and I miss being outdoors!

WEEK FOUR

project life week 4

The pandemic remains in full force (and getting worse in some places) but live sports are returning!! And I am thrilled. This week saw the return on the NBA. This week, they’re playing scrimmage games and then the “regular” season returns on July 30. The teams will play 8 games and then go into the playoffs. Baseball is back as well. The SF Giants are not having a great year (all teams will play only 60 games so all games are important) but they did beat the Dodgers and that’s all that matters.
When George and the boys were here, they hooked me back into watching The Office. I am now binge watching from the beginning. I used to watch it for a time when it was live but stopped at some point.

WEEK FIVE

project life week 5

We have reached the final few days in July. I dd some client visits and was able to get dressed which was nice. Congressman John Lewis died and I watched the documentary about him called “Good Trouble.” It was very good and quite inspiring.

MONTHLY STATS

July COVID

So there you have it. July in photos. I sometimes wonder what my memory keeping would look like if this were not a Corona summer.
