Master Bath Update-Decor, the fun stuff

Master bath refresh

Time for another update on the master bath project. This time I’m sharing some of the decor that I have either purchased or created for this space. I am not done with this part but this is what I’ve done so far.

Where can I hang my towel?

I removed the towel rack that had been here and needed somewhere for towels and robes and what not. No one said that a functional piece can’t also be decor so I joined these two separate pieces together. The wood and stain are the same as my shelves and the hook is one from IKEA. I’ve had this hook in my closet for years. When I purchased it, I’m sure that I had some idea for it but ultimately I didn’t use it. Turns out it was perfect for this refresh!

How will I know what’s in these containers?

One afternoon, I went on a labeling frenzy! Using my Cricut Explore Air 2 (die cutting machine) and their design software, I created labels for a variety of jars and containers. For clarification, the Oxiclean is not for the bathroom. It just wound up in the photo because it got labeled, too. The “thieves” bottle however is part of the bathroom. It is a natural cleaning product that I use throughout my home. The small container labeled “face” is where I keep my reusable cloth rounds. I use these to take off eye makeup and to apply toner during my skin care routine. They are washed and reused and I don’t have to keep buying and throwing out cotton rounds.

How about some fun stuff to look at?

The ‘don’t be trashy’ is the lid of the trash can that reads ‘beauty discards’ on the front. It makes me smile when I look at it!
The art work you saw last week on my shelves. I heat pressed some vinyl onto canvas for a little something fun.

But the shower is already covered!

Yes, the shower already has doors but this curtain adds a touch of drama and interest to a rather unremarkable space. I placed the curtain rod higher than the top of the shower door which elongates the space creating the dramatic effect.
Next to the shower door you may spot a double hook. On one side, a tool for dry brushing hangs and on the other is where I hang my towel. The hook is a plain standard silver hook that I spray painted black to blend in with the decor.

Can you see my cute little trash can there???

That’s where we are with the decor for now. I still have to make some decisions about larger pieces and some photos. I have finally made a decision about the mirrors so stay tuned (in June) for that update. And, also coming up in the near future will be the new floor!
