Black cardigan (LOFT)-similar. Can’t find my exact one online. What I like about it is that it’s long and thin. It’s a great layering piece and provides a little warmth if I need it (which I generally don’t). It’s also great because I can wear sleeveless shirts and still look professional at work!
Laptop back pack
Roomy, fits everything, well constructed, outside pockets, large without feeling huge. It even has a built in USB port so that I can charge stuff on the go!

OMG! I had no idea how much I would love turning my home into a “smart” home. I started on Prime day in July and have continued on! I bought the Echo Show and one dot on Prime day and then a month later there was a 2 for 1 deal and I bought 2 more dots. I have them all in the Sandstone finish.
I never thought that I would care about these types of devices but I am very much enjoying them. My favorite things are that Alexa turns my televisions on and off with my voice commands. When I get home, I say, “alexa, I’m home” and she turns ON all of my televisions and welcomes me home. When I leave, I say, “alexa, I’m leaving” and she turns OFF my televisions and wishes me a good day!
I know it sounds ridiculous but it brings me joy.
For reference, I have the Echo Show in the kitchen, one dot in my guest room, one dot in my master bedroom and one dot in my closet waiting to be placed! I’m considering putting it in my living room mainly so that when I play music the living room is covered as well.
Additionally, I bought two fire sticks that turn my old televisions into streaming devices. I pay for cable, DVR service, Netflix, Hulu and Prime but I could only watch on my living room tv. I spend a lot of time in my office but could never stream channels and now I can!! I got both fire sticks for $25 each because the next day, Amazon was releasing a new 4K firestick. My tv’s are old (one is 15 years old) and not 4K compatible anyway so this version works well for me.
My next purchase will probably be smart lights. Initially, I thought that I could only use them in lamps but now that I’ve learned more I know that I can use them in lights that are hard-wired because they’re wifi enabled and they just have to work with (1) alexa and (2) my wifi network! The lights are pricey though so I think that I will wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday and see what deals are available.
Recommendation: Buy the smart plugs!! On prime day, the smart plugs were $5.00 each and I regret that I didn’t buy more as they typically run $24.99!! I was smart enough to buy 2 and then I had a coupon at Best Buy and got a 3rd one! They are big and bulky and take up a lot of room but worth the purchase (especially at $5.00)!
Headphones-over the ear
I like to wear these to work out because it blocks out some sound and allows me to be in my own world and not distracted by all of the noise around me.
