Books-Monthly Catch Up

While I was on my blogging break, I did continue reading/listening to books. I enjoyed all of the books on my list, but one (Those Who Wish Me Dead) almost didn’t get finished. This book starts out slow and with a lot of detail. I was 15 minutes away from giving up but decided to listen one last time while I was taking a shower. During that time, the book got so good that I was totally looking forward to what was going to happen!

It can be tough to know when to give up on a book (or not). I am not a believer that you HAVE to stick with a book that you just aren’t feeling. With that said though, I will acknowledge that I’ve only stopped reading/listening to 1(!) book (War and Turpentine by Stefan Hertsman) in all of my reading years. I think I just hate the idea that I could miss the best part!

I also enjoyed the Saffron Sweeting Series which is very much an easy, summer, beachy read. Perfect for my summer mood!

And, not that it matters, but this is the order in which I read the books.

Click on the the links below to read the description of each book.

For reference, I read or listen to a lot of books through my favorite library apps.
You sign up using your library card and you can access ebooks, audio books, music and movies. And, you don’t even have to remember to return the items. They return themselves on their due dates!
All libraries seem to be a bit different but mine allows me to “check out” 20 items per month per app. And no, I never get close to my limit!

Hoopla

Axis 360

If the book is not available on either, then I’ll use an Audible credit.

Have you read any of the books on this list? Thoughts?
Any you might read?
