Welcome to a project that I hadn’t planned on doing but got done none the less! On a whim I decided to clean off and refresh my balcony. In all honesty, I don’t spend a great deal of time on my balcony except to work on projects so I don’t generally pay much attention to it. Projects can sit out there for days and weeks on end and it doesn’t really get cleaned off until I decide to start another project. I paint, stain, sand and generally do “messy” and “dirty” projects out here. One day however, the filth and “stuff” just got on my nerves and I decided to do something about it.
I went about cleaning the balcony in my typical way. I pulled everything off of the balcony and got rid of garbage and other unneeded items. I swept and vacuumed and cleaned the windows. Window cleaning sucks and it was the hardest part of this project. It is times like this though that I have to remind myself that if I just did this on a regular basis it wouldn’t be so hard! It was kind of amazing how much brighter it was inside after I cleaned the windows. Guess this task will go on my monthly cleaning to-do list.
Will I use the balcony now for something other than projects? Only time will tell!!
If you come to my house and it’s nice outside, ask me to sit out there while we chat. But only in the warmer weather….when it gets cold out, I’m inside!!!
