JUNE Project Life

While I haven’t been posting, I have been keeping up with my annual memory keeping project. I continue to enjoy doing it and also enjoy going back and checking in on the particulars of my daily life.
Here’s a look at my life in June!

WEEK ONE

Highlights this week include seeing inspirational speaker, Iyanla VanZant live, experiencing the beauty of Wunderlich and spending time with a friend and her family from out of town.

WEEK TWO

Ok, I’ll admit the highlight of this week was getting my brand new dishwasher! It had been such an ordeal from when I ordered it on April 1 and then finally having it installed on June 6. A highlight, indeed!!

WEEK THREE

This week’s highlights include two life events-my great niece promoted from 6th grade to middle school and my friend’s Dad celebrated his 80th birthday.

WEEK FOUR

Highlights include spending time with friends and making some homemade alfredo sauce (which was delicious)!

WEEK FIVE

Highlights this week include having dinner with some friends that I haven’t seen for awhile and my angel daughter’s 24th birthday.

I’ve said this before and it bears repeating especially as we get closer to a very busy time of year. Recording and documenting the ordinary days of our lives is really important-especially in these digital days where pictures are so easily erased.
How will generations after us know how we lived, what was important to us, what technology is available to us. Think about how special it is when you see photos of your ancestors, when you have a sample of their handwriting. It makes you feel closer to those who’ve come before you and can make you feel more connected to your family. It’s one of the reasons that I continue to document day after day, year after year.

June is in the books and July is close behind.

Are you doing any memory keeping? How’s it going? Share in the comments.
