Office Closet-The Starting Point

The Beginning

So, this is where we start and why I’m overwhelmed!! This closet is in my guest room and houses lots of stuff-office supplies, printer ink, photo paper, home decor items, empty boxes, bags, bags, bags, tools, paperwork, boxes, photo albums and various other items.
The right side houses mostly office type supplies while the left side houses everything else. The right side is not completely unorganized but I have too much stuff (as usual). I have worked on this side in the past so there’s not as much involved in cleaning it out. The left side (with the dresser full of stuff) has only had items added to it. I’ve never tackled this space.
When I think about where to start, I open the doors and just stand there!

I’ve decided to tackle it one side at a time. Common sense would say “start with the easier side (the right side)” and I may in fact do that. But I want to make an impact and that feels like I should work on the side that has never been touched.

Or I could just finish what I started at the end of last summer!

I’m still not sure which direction I will go but I need to get started. I have a couple of nights coming up where I will be on call which keeps me at home. It is a perfect time to work on projects like this one. It would be a tremendous waste to not get something accomplished.

So what say you? Any thoughts on which side I should tackle first?
