It’s time for me to share my project life spread for January. I am doing the same system as last year and using the same products. I found that doing it this way helped me to keep up with my memory keeping activities. Just to refresh, I use the Big Happy Planner and the HP Sprocket printer.
WEEK ONE
Happy New Year! I love new beginnings and the start of a new year offers many. For the first time, I made a crock pot gumbo which for African-Americans signifies good health and abundance. Other people make and eat black eyed peas but I really don’t like them so gumbo fit the bill for me. It was very good and I was able to freeze 3 servings but in all honesty it didn’t last the week! I will definitely make it again!
WEEK TWO
The “highlight” of this week was my return to work after having been off since December 21, 2018. Because of the way my days off and holidays fell, I was off for a solid two weeks that felt like 3! I visited my family in Southern California for one week and then I was home for my final week off which was great because I got several home projects at least started. Since I travel to see my family for all of the major holidays, it was nice to be home and off from work doing my own thing!
WEEK THREE
I am back into the full swing of my life and what happens????? I get into a car accident as I”m driving to work! Thankfully, the accident was fairly minor and not my fault. The other driver took care of his responsibilities and contacted his insurance company. They will pay for the repairs and a rental car for me to use. All in all, an inconvenience but not life shattering.
WEEK FOUR
This week was highlighted by my finding a recipe for and making skinny cinnamon bagels. They have a ton of protein and fiber and only 180 calories. They were easier to make than expected and I loved them. The recipe which is for 8 bagels calls for one teaspoon of cinnamon. Next time I make them, I will increase that to two teaspoons as I like more cinnamon flavor.
WEEK FIVE
And finally, the last week of the first month of the year. The internet seemed to think that this month felt overwhelming long but I didn’t. Maybe because I was busy but not overly so and got a few home projects accomplished. I was pretty happy with the way the month shook out.
How about you? Any memory keeping plans for 2019?
