September Goals-August Results

It’s time to review my goals from last month and look at what I’m doing for September. One of the things I’ve learned while engaging in this goal setting process is that if I don’t see it written down, I might forget what I planned to do.  It’s not like I’m not doing other things.  Sometimes, I just get a wild hair and decide to do something that’s not on my list.  I need to remind myself to tackle the list first!

AUGUST GOALS WITH RESULTS:
CRAFT AREA-clean out at least one drawer, cubbie or space each week until completely done. SUCCESS! I have been chipping away a little here and there, cleaned off a chair that housed random supplies, cleared off the dining room table that turns into a catch-all, put items that were not in their right spots away and cleared items off of the top of my craft space.  I have a tendency to purchase new items but then leave them in the bags and not put them away because stuff is all over the place.  I’m a messy crafter but at least things are now put away.

CD PROJECT-continue to catalog my collection. PARTIAL SUCCESS. I didn’t do as much as I would have liked one this one but I did do something which is good by itself.  Progress not perfection!

HALLWAY-Spot clean and shampoo the hallway carpet. TOTAL FAIL! In hindsight, I probably shouldn’t have put this one on the list for August but I was feeling ambitious! This is one of those tasks that feels like it should wait until after summer.  I just couldn’t get motivated to complete this task.  However, now that it’s September and fall and the holidays are coming, I’m feeling more ready to do this.

SEPTEMBER GOALS
Again, I think it’s important to challenge myself but to also be reasonable. So, I’m going to stick with the same three goals for September with a little twist-I’m going to be a little more specific in not just where but how much.

CRAFT AREA: Clean out all seven scrap paper drawers and two boxes that hold die cut shapes and words.

CD PROJECT: Have all CD’s removed from the two towers and at least 50% of them cataloged. I don’t know how many I have at this point so I’ll update in next month’s post.

HALLWAY: Spot clean and shampoo the hallway carpet.  No other way to quantify this one other than to do it!
And for the record, I’m not taking a picture of my dirty hallway carpet!  I’ll do a before and after but right now, I just can’t stomach the idea of my dirty carpet on the internet without a “clean” picture with it.

Please tell me that I’m not the only one who has trouble meeting monthly goals!  Let’s support each other-what are you all working on? Share in the comments!
