If you read my last post, you know that my birthday was Tuesday, July 17th. You also know that I like to celebrate all month. This weekend, I got to spend time doing a couple of my favorite things. On Saturday, I spent several hours getting in some craft time at Scrapbook Island Creative Escape in Los Gatos. It was billed as an event for paper planners (which I also love) to get together and decorate and talk all things planning.
While planning is a creative endeavor, I took the time to work on my Project Life album from 2017. Yes, 2017! I still had the final four months of the year to finish out the album. At the beginning of the year, I decided that I would go ahead and start the 2018 album and keep up with it monthly. I have been doing that and I am very pleased with my new process. However, I owed it to myself to complete 2017 and the opportunity to work for several hours and just focus on the album could not be missed.
I did in fact finish the album! I got through mid-November when the event ended and then came home and finished it completely. I am so happy to check this off of my creative to do list!
On Sunday, I got together with the Northern California Book Club Babes to celebrate. We went to brunch at the Beach Chalet in San Francisco at Ocean Beach. I have been obsessing about having brunch recently and they have beignets on the menu so…….it was an easy decision.
As usual, hanging out with the babes is nothing but fun, exciting and interesting. We talk about everything including politics and I really value their opinions.
I am immensely grateful to the relationships I have in my life and look forward to sharing my birthdays with everyone! And, I also love sharing others’ birthdays, too!
Here’s to another year filled with creativity and friendships and may both always include good food!
