I did this a few months ago but fell off pretty quickly. However, as I’ve heard and have been reminding myself this whole creating new habits is a journey and not about perfection. With that in mind, I present to you my small goals for June.
For the uninitiated, the purpose of tracking small goals is to (1) take small steps toward larger goals and (2) to focus on goals that are meaningful & important but you don’t necessarily give them a lot of attention. And as a bonus, you get the benefit of checking something off the list!
JUNE GOALS:
- Finish the gallery wall in the hallway: I started the hallway refresh in November with a plan to be done in a month. Now clearly I was insane but I really thought I’d have it done by now. Truth be told, I’m really tired of even thinking about it so this month the attempt is to take a small bite. Instead of thinking about ALL of the details that need to be done, I’m going to focus on just one aspect.
- De-clutter at three 3 drawers in my master bedroom: Every year I do a pretty decent job of going through my clothes and getting rid of items I no longer wear. However, my t-shirt drawer has gotten out of control to the point where I can’t even see what I have.
- Clean out under 1 cabinet in my master bath: This area has been long neglected and now I just throw stuff on top of other stuff. When this happens, of course I end up buying stuff that I already have!
That’s all I’m going to focus on for this month. I’m going to schedule time for these tasks in my planner so that I don’t forget what I’m trying to accomplish!
What are you working on? Any goals small or otherwise you’re focusing on?
