I had the pleasure of spending this recent Saturday morning hanging out with a couple of friends at the La Nebbia winery in Half Moon Bay. We were there to take part in their most recent wine bottling event.
These events are hosted several times throughout the years-6 events for red wine and 3 events for white wine.
I had my first experience at La Nebbia a few years ago. My book club hosted a birthday party for a couple of our members. We had a great picnic lunch, played bocce ball and drank lots of good wine.
I was introduced to this bottling event earlier this year. You bring your own bottles and fill them for $6.00 per bottle. If you don’t have your own bottles, you can just buy bottles straight out for $7.50. And bonus, if you can’t make the actual event day, you can drop bottles off before the event and pick them up afterwards. Now that is fantastic customer service!!
The winery itself is beautiful with bocce ball courts, a picnic area, and a glass blowing studio.
This was a last-minute event for me & I’m so glad that I said YES! It feels great to support a local business and the day was way more beautiful than expected. The best part though is that I got to spend a glorious couple of hours with good friends!!
No better way to spend a Saturday morning!
This is my second time attending this event but definitely not my last. I will be prepared in 2018 to make this bottling event a regular occurrence.
